Sergey Tokarev on the third intake of the Generation H accelerator programme

Sergey Tokarev, co-founder of SET University, announced the start of applications for Generation H 3.0

The Generation H medical technology accelerator programme, launched by SET University in partnership with the Tokarev Foundation, has gone international for the first time this year. Ukrainian startups and teams can now apply to take part regardless of their country of residence.

“The decision to scale up the programme is fully in line with the realities of the global market: artificial intelligence technologies in medicine are growing by 40% annually, and the digital health segment has already exceeded $300 billion. Over the past two years, Generation H has proven that Ukrainian teams are capable of competing in the global market,” says Sergey Tokarev, co-founder of SET University and founder of the Tokarev Foundation.

Graduates from previous seasons have raised over UAH 11 million in investment, won competitions such as IT Arena, EIT Jumpstarter, and Google for Startups, entered the US and European markets, and made it onto TechCrunch Startup Battlefield’s list of the top 200 startups.

Among the programme’s 30 projects are solutions that are already addressing specific problems and standing out on a global scale. For example, the AI medical scribe TAYRA.AI automatically structures doctors’ consultations, while the AI device Ovul can track fertility through saliva analysis.

What to expect from Generation H 3.0

The new programme will last 10 weeks. It is designed for HealthTech startups with an MVP and initial sales that are ready to scale. Generation H 3.0 includes:

  • Business model validation and a global go-to-market strategy
  • Access to the international HealthTech ecosystem
  • Personalised mentoring from practitioners in Europe, the US, and Ukraine
  • Workshops on entering international markets and product crash tests
  • AMA sessions and individual matchmaking with investors
  • Expert support on regulatory issues
  • UAH 650,000 for the best team

The programme will feature both online and in-person events. Mentors include industry professionals with real-world experience, such as Fergus O’Dea, Vice President of Commercial Operations at FIRE1; Alexa Sinyacheva, co-founder of Moeco and mentor at Techstars; Volodymyr Nerubenko, serial HealthTech entrepreneur and co-founder of Lab24, Liki24 Foundation, and TerraLab; and Eric Henry, Senior Counsel for FDA and Regulatory Compliance at the law firm King & Spalding.

“The key change in the third season is that Generation H is going international. Teams and founders from abroad can now also apply to take part. This is the first step towards making Ukraine a fully fledged international HealthTech hub,” adds Sergey Tokarev.
